The National Children & Young People’s Awards
We were delighted that Mariam won best Children’s Home Manager (South) and The Oaks won best Children’s Home (South) in the 2024 National Children & Young People’s Awards! The awards celebrates excellence in children’s social care across the UK.
Good Business Charter
We are proud to be accredited by The Good Business Charter which consists of 10 components that seek to raise the bar on business practices for employees, tax, the environment, customers, and suppliers. Silver Birch Care was the first social care provider and one of the first 20 organisations to join the GBC.
Good Work Standard
The Mayor’s Good Work Standard sets the benchmark for best employment practices in London. Silver Birch Care is proud to be the first social care organisation recognised and formally accredited by the Mayor of London as a GWS employer!
Living Wage Foundation
We believe that a fair day’s work deserves a fair day’s pay, and have pledged to always paying our staff above the minimum recommended London Living Wage. Silver Birch Care is very proud to be the first 16+ semi-independent provider in the UK to be formally accredited by The Living Wage Foundation.
London Youth
London Youth are a charity on a mission to improve the lives of young people in London. As a member, our young people benefit from high-quality programmes including sports, employability, arts, social action and youth action. Our staff can also access training workshops focussing on topics such as safeguarding and mental health.
Committed to Equality – Gold
We achieved C2E Accreditation following a thorough audit of our policies on equality, training, recruitment, and conditions of employment, as well as a series of interviews with our staff. We scored highly enough to achieve a Gold pass which is very rare for organisations to achieve first time round!
