The living room feels cosy and homely, and the separate building used as an education space is a great addition. It seems particularly beneficial for children who may need to be educated at home, while also offering a dedicated space for homework. There are also some great breakout areas, including a games room and a cinema room, which I imagine X would really enjoy. The home is situated in a pleasant residential area, and it was reassuring to hear that Jess has a strong knowledge of the local community, as well as an established working relationship with the neighbourhood police.“

As part of my recent review of I’s care—prompted by a challenge from the Children’s Guardian regarding the local authority’s care plan—I have reflected carefully on the work being done around her risk and overall wellbeing. Whilst we continue to hold some professional differences regarding the assessment of risk and subsequent care plan, I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the quality and consistency of the care you are providing.
As you know, responding to regular missing episodes is a complex and sensitive issue, requiring thoughtful consideration of both push and pull factors. I was genuinely moved by the quality of your logs, which clearly demonstrate how actively you work to minimise any potential push factors while ensuring Isha feels held in mind, cared for, and supported by safe adults she can rely upon.
