The Spruces | About
The Spruces is a three-bedroom residential children’s home for young people with emotional and/or behavioural difficulties. The home has been designed to provide a warm, welcoming, and nurturing environment.
There are three spacious bedrooms, including one with an en-suite bathroom. Residents are encouraged to personalise their bedrooms and shared living spaces to help them feel settled and comfortable.
The living room and dining area provide welcoming communal spaces where our young people and team can come together to share meals, hold meetings, and celebrate achievements.
Residents also have access to a dedicated games and chill-out room with comfortable seating, a games console, speakers, and ambient lighting. This versatile space can be used to relax, listen to music, sing karaoke, play games, or spend time with friends. A large garden with a trampoline, football goal, and outdoor dining area provides further opportunities for exercise, recreation, socialising, and outdoor activities.
To support the safety and wellbeing of residents, the home benefits from CCTV covering all external areas, a direct-access fire alarm system, and a fully equipped office with 24-hour staffing on site.

The Spruces is situated in a residential area of South Croydon, close to parks, green spaces and local facilities, including Croham Hurst and Lloyd Park.
Located close to many local amenities, the home is less than a five-minute walk from South Croydon railway station, providing convenient access to schools, colleges, activities, and the wider community.
Nearby attractions include leisure centres, libraries, cinemas, shopping facilities, and outdoor spaces, providing opportunities for exercise, social interaction, learning, and new experiences throughout the year.
Croydon town centre is also easily accessible, offering a variety of educational, cultural, and recreational opportunities.
